your repair. A repair normally takes 10 to 15 minutes
per chip. We will process your claim for you so you
will not have to deal with your insurance company without us
on the phone with you.
Alternately,
call your insurance company yourself to verify what we are
telling you. Have your insurance card ready when you call
them. With them on the phone go ahead and initiate the
repair approval process and then get an approval number.
Write that number down and give it to us when we repair your
windshield. Be prepared to spend 5 to 10 minutes on the
phone with your insurance company. Be sure to ask them
what your deductible will be.
Call your
insurance company and begin your conversation by saying "Hi,
I would like to initiate a claim for a windshield repair.
I have (state the amount of chips that you have) chips on my
windshield."
They will ask you
some questions like:

damage in your direct line of site while driving?
There is a general rule for what they are looking for.
If the chip is in a 12" wide area, directly in front of the
driver, at any spot that the windshield wiper passes over,
they will not approve the repair.
